Rinat Akhmetov buys Monaco apartment for record $550 million — Bloomberg

Ukrainian businessman Rinat Akhmetov has purchased an apartment in Monaco for a record $550 million, according to Bloomberg.

The deal is considered one of the largest residential real estate transactions in history.

For that amount, Akhmetov acquired a 21-room, five-level luxury apartment in one of Monaco’s most prestigious new developments on the waterfront in the Mareterra district.

The residence is located in the flagship building “Le Renzo” and spans approximately 2,500 square meters, excluding balconies and terraces overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The property includes a swimming pool, a jacuzzi, and at least eight parking spaces.

The transaction was completed in 2024, but only became public recently after documents surfaced. Akhmetov’s holding company SCM has confirmed the purchase.
